Mr. Kaye spoke on a panel discussion, led by Hogan Paschal of Fishman Haygood, called “The Crazy World of Crypto Litigation,” where he gave a primer on blockchain technologies and related crypto assets, and discussed his recent representation of investor clients victimized by the collapses of the FTX and Voyager crypto trading platforms, and sales of unregistered securities in connection with the Binance Platform and Shaquille O’Neal’s Astrals NFT project. Mr. Kaye was joined by Brooke Alexander and Alex Boies of Boies Schiller Flexner, and Marshal Hoda of The Hoda Law Firm.

Mr. Kaye’s presentation was one of six that took place on Friday. Additional presentations included a presentation on the $280M Navient student loan settlement with Adam Shaw of Boies Schiller Flexner and Jason Burge of Fishman Haygood, and a presentation on recent developments in the enforcement of international arbitration awards with Matthew Kirkland of Norton Rose Fulbright, and Molly Wells of Fishman Haygood.

Mr. Kaye has been recognized for his experience in litigating in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency and frequently comments on these matters. He is an accomplished Moskowitz Law Firm partner with nearly a decade of experience handling complex commercial, class action, and multidistrict litigation involving consumer protection, cryptocurrency, mass tort, Ponzi scheme, and securities matters nationwide. Mr. Kaye serves on the steering committee and co-chairs the briefing committee in the FTX crypto-exchange class and multidistrict litigation, representing Voyager Digital, EmpiresX, and Binance crypto investors. He also represented victims of the tragic Champlain Towers South condo collapse in Surfside, Florida, leading to a historic, billion-dollar recovery. Mr. Kaye has also been instrumental in favorably expanding the law for plaintiffs on issue certification and class-wide jury trials.
