Seminole Tribe Fights Lennar’s Bid to Force Arbitration in $200 Million Housing Dispute

The Broward Circuit Court case pits two Miami trial lawyers, who previously worked side by side along with a larger team to obtain in one year the $1.4 billion Surfside condominium-collapse settlement, against each other: Adam Moskowitz of the Moskowitz Law Firm, now representing the Seminole Tribe, and Harley Tropin of Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton, representing Lennar.

“I have the utmost confidence that, like Surfside, Lennar will eventually step up and help the Seminole Tribe and their members who are now homeless and in real danger,” Moskowitz said in an emailed statement. “But it might now take some litigation; we are up for the fight.”

Fenwick Fights New Claims In FTX Crypto Scam MDL

Adam M. Moskowitz of the Moskowitz Law Firm PLLC, which represents the FTX customers, pushed back on Fenwick's claims that it had a run-of-the-mill attorney-client relationship with FTX, in an emailed statement.

"It belies absurdity for Fenwick to read our 424 paragraph amended complaint and really argue to the court that: 'Fenwick did what law firms do each day,'" Moskowitz said. "We now have the benefit of over 3 years of extensive investigations by the FTX independent counsel, the FTX receiver and the Justice Department, and all support these alleged claims against Fenwick at this stage, including claims for aiding and abetting the FTX fraud."
